Colorado School of Mines

Financial Assistance

For many years the Colorado School of Mines Alumni Association has operated a Student Financial Assistance Fund. In recent years, principally due to the generosity of alumni, this fund has included Legacy Grants to freshmen and seniors and Field Session Grants for summer study.

To qualify for a Legacy Grant for full-time enrolled freshmen, a parent or grandparent must have been an active, paying member of CSMAA for at least the last five consecutive years.

Additional grants may be awarded at the beginning of the academic year to seniors who are children or grandchildren of CSMAA members, if funds are available. (Same eligibility requirements apply as for freshmen.)

The total award per student is dependent upon the number who apply and available funds.

All applicants need to have their application turned into the Alumni Association office by September 17 of the year they hope to receive the grant.

The grants will be presented at the October meeting of the CSM Alumni Association Board of Directors.
