Welcome to Colorado School of Mines! 

The incoming Freshman class was officially introduced to the campus as students as this summer’s Explore CSM kicked off in July. 

There were several groups of students flowing through the orientation program, learning about their new living and learning environment.

This day-long introduction gives the students the chance to get a handle on what it’s really going to be like as a Mines student. 

They learn their way around campus, finding their classrooms and dorms, as well as the cafeteria and all-important bookstore.  The new students also get a chance to talk to some student leaders, and get advice on campus activities and classes. 

At the same time parents are also learning about their child’s new environment with programs designed to offer them information as well.  

During lunch everyone gets a chance to learn about other campus organizations, including Greek life, the campus publication The Oredigger, and other possible activities and student jobs. 

All around, it’s a great experience and introduction to student life at CSM!
