Dear Mines Parents:

As parents, we undoubtedly share with you many of the same emotions and anxieties of sending our daughter away to college for the first time. Fortunately, as Mines alumni, we know firsthand that Moriah has chosen a premier institution.

We are pleased to serve as Chairs of The Mines Parents Fund for 2007-2008. The Parents Fund has been an integral part by helping fulfill student’s financial needs and goals. The Parents Fund also focuses on creating well-rounded adults by assisting student leadership programs, recreational sports programs, and student health initiatives.

Last year, 353 parent donors contributed over $123k to The Parents Fund. Because of this generosity, combined with other private donations, the School was able to distribute over $1.5 million dollars of financial assistance to 85% of Mines’ student body. This helped balance out decreasing state support and allowed Mines to take advantage of new opportunities and maintain its excellent reputation.

As this year’s Parents Fund Chairs, we hope you will join us in making an even larger impact on our students’ academic and extracurricular experiences. We also want to thank the many loyal and involved parents who make a meaningful difference to every student attending Mines today. Your philanthropic support is greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,
